You will be working both in the beautiful gardens surrounding Cockenzie house and in the studio using photos for reference. It will be a weekend revelling in all the fabulous inspiration that nature has to offer.
22nd - 25th July 2024 Colouring the Landscape

Drawing inspiration from the environment around Cockenzie House and gardens, you will discover and mix a colour palette that is unique to you.Then, using expressive mark making, thumbnails and a mixed media approach, you will begin to develop your own visual language, helping you to create colourful abstract landscape paintings.
Painting Holidays In France
Treat yourself with a trip to 'La Salle' in the Gers region of France for a fun week of painting and indulgent holiday-ing. Hosted by the fabulous Jill and Terry, come and enjoy this hidden gem in the French countryside. There is a gorgeous well equipped air-conditioned studio set in their lovely garden with pool (for those cooling off dips). STILL is a place where you can slow down, reconnect with your hands and learn creative practises with the help of florist Ellie Jauncey (flower and still life provider) and guest artists/makers who’s work, we at STILL admire.

Off The Rails Arthouse is an artist led organisation run on a voluntary basis, offering a space to explore a wide range of arts-related activities.
22nd and 23rd June 2024 Fabulous Floral Landscapes 10 - 4pm
Join me for a weekend of colour, mark and expression! Experiment with mixed media and mark making techniques to loosen up and create abstracted, joyful floral paintings. We will quickly delve into colour mixing and creating a rainbow of vibrant colour using just 5 tubes of acrylic paint, making colour easier to create and enjoy.

You will be working from both loose floral arrangements and photos in the studio. It will be a wonderful midsummer weekend reveling in all the fabulous inspiration that nature has to offer!
